Anger management is often the initial reason for people seeking help with golf hypnosis. It’s acceptable to be annoyed and frustrated when you hit a bad shot, but it’s disastrous if you’re still annoyed, frustrated or worse when you hit your next shot. The main causes of anger in golf come from a players’ reaction to a poor shot, a bad bounce an opponents actions or comments, the course conditions and other outside distractions. The first golf hypnosis session in Anger Management for Better Golf, “Release and Eliminate Anger” is a session you should use exclusively for your first few weeks or at least until you are starting to notice some results. The session starts by building a strong resource of confidence and calm before systematically taking you through all the things that used to make you angry and releasing and eliminating all the bad feelings you used to associate with them. The ability to control your anger, put those shots out of mind and release them to the past is precisely what this golf hypnosis session is all about.

Control your Anger Habit

Once you’re getting some positive results from “Release and Eliminate Anger”, it’s time to start using the second golf hypnosis session, “Control your Anger Habit” to upgrade your unconscious programming to change your old automatic reaction to all the things that used to make you angry. It’s ok to feel angry for a few moments after a bad shot, that’s natural, but it isn’t ok to carry it forward to the next shot.

I have to say that I don’t like seeing the anger that Tiger Woods so often seems to display on the golf course and I’m sure that it must make it very hard for his playing partners to ignore. However, it didn’t take me too long to realise that it doesn’t seem to have any long-term affect on him. Although he’s clearly using hypnosis while he’s hitting the ball, he appears to come out the moment he completes the swing. He’s certainly calmed down before he hypnotically plays his next shot, so his bad shot and his temper don’t have any lasting effect on him. You can learn this control and release!
